The Japanese consider it the most spirited of fish, so full of energy and power that it can fight its way up swift-running streams and cascades. Because of its strength and determination to overcome all obstacles, it stands for courage and the ability to attain high goals. The carp is an appropriate symbol to encourage the overcoming of life's difficulties leading to consequent success.
This piece is a bit over 16" long. It features the Kanji symbol for longevity. Made in April '07.

Dragons are said to be evil and diabolical creatures. In Christian symbology, a dragon is seen defeated by the archangel Michael, whereas in myths and fairy tales dragons are killed and slain by the hero of the story. In China however, this mythological symbol dates back to 3000 BC and stands for happiness, immortality, procreation, fertility and activity. Dragons were believed to ward off evil spirits. Take a look at a Chinese city and you’ll see dragons decorating ancient monuments and buildings, sometimes playing with a pearl or thunder-ball.From the Han dynasty and on (206 BC – 220 AD) dragons took a symbolic meaning based on their colours. Chinese dragons were often red or gold, turquoise or white. The turquoise dragon was the symbol of the Emperor, the East, the rising sun, the rain as well as the fifth element of the Chinese zodiac. The white dragon on the other hand stood for the West and death.
12" long.

Stemless Knock off. Totally Banjo inspired. It's got a real heavy metal kinda feel to it. For those of you that are familiar with William S. Boroughs work & have read the book or seen the movie, you'll understand the title-It's a pretty sick referance....!
Pretty fun to make-the product of boredom basically. It's 22" from mouthpiece to tip. New sig. for my work on this one. Thanx for looking.

Heres another boring unoriganal stemless bub with shitty blurry pix.... Seriously though-I really like this piece.Lots of opal - the colors are g.a. orange, forrest green, and the blue is a custom pull I made of O.G. Light Opaque Blue and Disco Sparkle...the final pull on this yeilded about a half pound. All the main sections and the i/o stuff has this color ....I also just finished pulling about a pound of another custom mixed color...It's a very smooth and satiny purple..I'll be posting pix of the color and the finished piece in a few days....i'm very stoked on the new pull!!I can't wait to burn it up !! ~Thanks for looking.
*there's alot of pix with and without the flash....the sparkle in the color and the opals comes out a little different, when its on or off .....sorry for so many pix ...*

This piece was made mostly from leftover stuff.... the bamboo was left from a demo pull for a student...the frog was leftover from a class...the triangle style resist i cut and had sitting in my toolbox for over a year now...the tribal sun resist is an old design Tim used to use...and the crystal was for another piece but didn't get used. Another shout goes to Tim Lindemann....for facilitating and encouraging my delving into sandblasting and graal work, during the year('04-'05)i worked w/him....

Beetle Quadrapod Bubbler,11-3/4" tall.
This beetle is from the Aristobia genus. Aristobia is a beetle from Thailand.
This piece is part of a series inspired by the vessel work of my old shop mate artist Tim Lindemann (www.lindemannglass.com), aswell as Emanual Cesare's beetle sculptures. I will be incorporating some sculptural scarab beetle studies in the upcoming ones.
This piece is just a warm up...if I've got the time I'd like to get a little nutty with some of the upcoming ones !
Thanks also to Tim for kickin' down some of his old origanal designs-The beetles & suns are sick! Wait till you see the new ones i got in the works!
Thanks for looking...!

this piece has a real snazzy color scheme...to me anyway...6 faces to each of the main bottem bubbles of the can, 20 sections on the whole thing (including the decor)...very well balanced......very readable pattern.....& my horse shoe feet tend to be extremely stable.......mechanically speaking these things work so well...might build one for myself.......

This piece is about 15" tall ,figure is 8" tall...Pretty good rumbler. Real simple fluid design-figure used to have a real nice face-but long story short i fucked it up... Clinton inspiration on this one...He posted a piece on G.A.Org that had an old figure sculpture reworked on a new piece. I've had this figure lying around the shop since i made it on Feb. 7 2004,its been a part of several pieces that all came to a bad end(all broke)..! I think that it's finally found it's place.
There are some old pix of it in various places at various stages in my galleries.
Thanks for lookin'

Heres a little? ,dichro stemless bub Spring colors! Agua Azul, india green,Crayola Yellow, hand mixed agua-sparkle,random striking colors on the cuts and random dichro samples that were layin' around.(thanks Darby) This ones got some spiral drop-ins,three way donuts(one is the carb), buncha marbles and stuff. On the i/o pattern part, i sampled the new agua sparkle color pull.I got a grip left that i'm making another piece with now...i like it alot...little more satiny and less sparkley than the previous colors i've been making. This thing bubbles like a Harley on only a couple table spoons of water..The less stinky bub water the better ....!
Thanx for looking...
***Big Thanks to MarkG -my shopmate who lets me steal almost unlimited amounts of opal and dichro marbles off his bench...! Almost all the dicro blingers and opal marbs on my pieces he makes .........THANX DUDE ...!

All the color sections on this piece are blown out from a solid stick of O.G.Moss(no clear) that weighed over a pound, and was about 30mm in diameter...it looks incredible in person, almost like a lunar surface type effect...its great to get the cool effect of moss without the lines you get from coilpotting..this piece is about 13" from bow to stern

" I suddenly became stangely inebriated. The external world became changed as in a dream.Objects appeared to gain in relief; they assumed unusual dimensions;and colors became more glowing .Even self-perception and the sense of time were changed. When the eyes are closed, colored pictures flashed past in a quickly changing kaleidoscope. After a few hours, the not unpleasent inebriation, which had been experienced whilst I was fully conscious, disappeared. What had caused this condition ?" ~Albert Hofmann, Laboratory Notes (1943) >>>Thanks for checking out my Art.<<<
