Heres a big ol' collab i busted out with Carsten Carlile and some assistance from my shopmate MarkG aswell...its a beast. 20" long-weighs 5 pounds....you get a better sense of scale when you check the "making" gallery i post -sorry-in some of the pix i just couldn't get the piece squared up...need a bigger background. >>><MarkG did the red and black bowties and pulled the stock for it aswell as the opal mibs.Carsten is on virtualy All the sculpting-and colored tube too.I assembled ,designed the piece and did the discflips and various other shit-the piece was concieved when i arrived in Carstens shop- to teach a class he was hosting(Pics on the way)-and i saw the first tikki head and we started bouncing ideas and next thing you know...blam-big ol' headdie was born!...we worked real smooth as a a team! thanks for everthing- carsten- mark and all the other dudes in Bend.i had an awesome time!

This is the third Octopus Seascape piece in this series,...Props too Tim Lindemann for gettin my octopus techs.up to snuff... This one is a 4 1/2 pound beast.... Sculptures sure do get heavy...13" tall X 6 1/2 wide... The faceted piece was done by hand-on a lap wheel instead of a faceting machine so the cuts are simple and not quite perfect...two points were used for the entire hollow sections... thanks for checkin this out ..pce.

Big ass sculpted plant piece 22 inches tall ,roughly, I forget exactly how tall it is ,but you can see a soft glass vessel behind it that is pretty burly, this piece is from january 04.. ( ????)...It's on display in a private collection...and will never be used as anything but decoration............????upon fufther consideration,I don't think that date is right...i'm gonna have to do a little diggin.I'm pretty sure it's older than that /..............ALL THE LEAVES ARE GREEN DWARF,STALKS,BUDS AND OTHER DETAILS ARE Prism Color -i think- ANOTHER EXTINCT GREEN .

this here tube is around 20" ...its got a couple of froggies sittin here & there.hidden jar w/ removable cap, cold worked crystal cluster.the bottom bubble on this is about 8 inches across.there's no lathe action on this!!!! I've got a lathe, but I prefer to do it by hand as much as possible.after 8 or 9 inches I'll usually chuck it up...it depends how heavy it is.

There's a translucent backing on the dichro, instead of like turbo or somthin'( ran out of dark stuff the day i made this ) that makes the dichro harder than normal to photo.....not my favorite piece....not my least favorite either....!

" I suddenly became stangely inebriated. The external world became changed as in a dream.Objects appeared to gain in relief; they assumed unusual dimensions;and colors became more glowing .Even self-perception and the sense of time were changed. When the eyes are closed, colored pictures flashed past in a quickly changing kaleidoscope. After a few hours, the not unpleasent inebriation, which had been experienced whilst I was fully conscious, disappeared. What had caused this condition ?" ~Albert Hofmann, Laboratory Notes (1943) >>>Thanks for checking out my Art.<<<
*And a big shout to all those that have supported me & supported my Art along the way. **Thanks to all the guys i used to work with and bounce ideas with in Boulder. (H-Bomb,J.A.G.,Newman,Brother Willis,Pabilsag,Galactic T and everyone else that was there back then) ***Big Thanks to Everyone on this site for all the Inspiration and Influence and all the people that make it go 'round.
