I have been teaching my self how to do this and have gotten a few semi functional pieces in the past few months. This is my first to have an even shape, color, and most of all functionality. I know it's only a spoon but I like it a lot.
I have been working with my partner amy for about a year now. She and I have done predominately bead work for most of the past year. We really wanted to make larger glass vessels and pipes so we got a bigger torch recently. Living in South Georgia we are all but cut off from the pipe making community so it has taken a few months to produce my first pipe. I have big plans for where I am going to go with my pipe work and hope you guys will help me out. So drop some knowledge on me and if you live anywhere near Statesboro Georgia let us know.
good job

need help?
im a glass blower in southwest georgia. my parents reside in the good ole' town of statesboro. i'll actually be around that area for memorial day. i've been behind the torch for a little bit over a year but have put alot of my efforts into pipe-making. if you are going to be in town for memorial day i could possibly come by and do a few demos. i just signed up for this site on 4/17/06 so i should have some pictures up soon. get back with me if you are interested and let me know what kind of equiptment you have so i could get a gameplan together. hope to hear from you soon.
