GonG Stuff!!!

Glass Aficionado Magazine Cover piece for March 2007.
Reprinted from interview: For this piece I tried some new ideas I had recently with the clear wigwag windows. I have been playing around with these a lot the last year or two, and they were originally inspired by a Bearclaw piece.
I made some special stick stack tubing for this piece which has red/black lines on the inside of the tubing, and is completely black on the outside of the tubing. Most of the exterior of the pipe is black, but I utilize the clear wigwag windows to show the red/black designs on the inside of the pipe.
The piece is GonG style, and includes two different sized bowls and a matching GonG ash-catcher. I'm loving the GonG stuff because it adds new challenges in designing the piece...

It's been awhile since I've posted - I'm off the pipe-diet and I once again have a trusty Mirage. Ready to rock.
Ruby Slippers (Experimental Sparkle Red from a few years back) and Aqua Azul sherlock. Not my usual style, but I'm just getting back into the flow and I was having some fun. Definitely GP inspired, that's for sure. GonG equipped, vape adapter not shown.
Thanks for looking!

I'm N8, 28 y/o, and I currently reside in Northern California. I started glassblowing in November 2002 and while I'm primarily self-taught, I did receive plenty of help along the way from a few good friends and the GLDG. Glassblowing has taken me all around our beautiful country while providing many great experiences and lifelong friendships - I wouldn't trade it for anything. The artwork shown here is not for sale. If you have questions, please contact me through my website. Viva la internet and GP.ORG!
