blow-in/tube-in-tube piece. heavy silver fume. i didn't really know what the patterning was going to look like, i haven't done one of these in a few years, and the recent talks of this tech on gldg gave a few new twists, too. thanks, guys. it looks pretty cool in the right light, but it was hard to photograph some of the trippy patterns. i want to see this colored up!!

alaskan thunder and gold fume blow-in (thanks again slinger) for the sections. more gold on I/O parts. i'm lovin' the colors that came out on this one. had fun with the shape, too.

i dunno what to call it, but it was made with amazon jewel, so it is a bit sparkly.

this piece exists because i needed to put the section in the middle of the stem to use... so i kept adding stuff 'till it was functional. it is 7 or 9 piece, depending on weather the stem is considered 3 or 5 piece... the mid 3 sections were never seperated completely, but do have seals between them, so i guess it's open to interpretation.

trying out some aquamarine sparkle.... not as sparkly as i'd hoped, but pretty cool color, anyway... i like the transparency, and stability of the color.... it seems to work in any environment. cobalt backing on the marble.

this thing is weird. all clear and fume, except the back of the marble(Midnight) on the can. i'm not sure i like the overall shape of it, but it was an experiment..... lots of the pieces were complete experimentation with profile tubing. i had no idea what they'd look like, and just kept playing 'till the piece was shaped, then looked at the patterns. there are bizarre designs i couldn't get pics of, and some i did, but that are very hard to see.... the pics near the bottom are with the piece filled with coffee(and corks) to help the faint colors show up... zoom in, if you like... there's more stuff going on than is obvious. enjoy.

oldschool silver/gold fume sidecar with a twist. another fun piece to make. the bowl attaches to the stem off of the middle downward tube under the bowl, which makes me think some of the smoke might get shot down past the opening and circulate up the 2 side tubes and down the middle again. i hope i know whoever gets this piece....

i don't know what i was thinking when i made this piece, i just kept chucking stuff together until i didn't feel like working any more. it's all silver fume, all inside where it's hollow. strange honey-comb-like shield on side, webbed blob, some canes, twisted tripple donut under bowl. blah blah.... see fer yer self.

indigo lustre coilpot tube encased, with 'webbed' marble. not quite enough glass for the stem, so it's a bit wonky. about 4" long. i really like this color.
