i kinda just used this piece as an excuse to use a spinner.... which is cough powered.... just hack away and it'll spin for ya... hehe. the pattern on the piece was an experiment, and i learned from it.... nicer models to come, if i dont get bored with it, which i tend to do. anyway.... it's about 6 inches long... NS dark cobalt and thick silver fume... webbed marble attachment(gold/silver)... and the spinner. hope you enjoy. Dan

playing around with some tribal and similar techs... different spirally/wiggidy reversaly stuff. the colors are atlantis and aquamarine sparkle, super unob, and plum kush, with no clear coat so the joins would be more crisp. it was all covered in devit/phase separation while i was working it, but came out of the kiln pretty smooth, i was surprised. i'm diggin the color matching/joining possibilities, i can see why so many ppl do these kinds of techs so much, they're kinda fun. thanks to whoever invented flipping pieces by 90degrees and joining them together, and spiralling back and forth, and ripping spirals in half and spirals... whoever invented spirals is a genius!!! mad props. cheers. Dan

these are textured with a metal screen, then fumed and layered with more clear glass to preserve the effect and trap little air bubbles. thanks to everyone involved in the 'blow-in' scene a few months ago for re-opening this realm for me in a new way.

my name is Dan, and i've been on a torch since '99 in BC Canada. i'll continue to play with glass and fire 'till i cut and burn my hands off... at that point i'll have to learn to spin with my feet! cant get enough of this stuff. thanks to everyone who posts and browses this site, it has been a great source of information, inspiration, and connection. "alive, i live a love i love" Dan.
