this piece just kinda emerged and evolved as i plopped pieces together, the idea was for a dry hammer originally, but the stem(s) were a little ... um... little. and i liked the way it looked upright, so i fuggered with it 'till i got what i got, and here it is. i guess it's about a 10 inch stemless bub, now. hope you like. Dan. (sorry about my awesome backdrop and lighting... )

the little bugger snapped right in half while i was werkin on it... through 4 braces, the stem, and the outer spike near the mouthpiece. it went back together better than anything i've re-constructed b4... i dont think you can even tell in the pics. the spirals were started as do-nuts, new way of werkin stuff, for me. it turned out well. approx 2.5" long, just a little guy.

not my usual style, this was a fun little piece to make. turbo cobalt, acid yellow, and agua azul stripes and twists. approx. 3 inches

this is more like the piece i was intending on making when the weird blue squiggly bub happened. i've been having tons of fun trying to make complex shapes all out of one piece of glass...this would have been all one piece, but i had to add a bit to the bottom of the can so it would sit, so it's a 2 piece, plus decorations. it's about 5 inches long.

buncha donutty spoony/hammery whatnots, been stretchin' my holes out lately. i guess these are refined nut-twisters... i've been trying to make them sleeker, more streamlined. thanks for looking.

dunno if this counts as a penetration, maybe just a dry-hump.... it's only about 3-4 inches long. fumed, sleeved cobalt tube, and fumed sublime(love that color)

Dan.

an old favorite from around '04, this was the first multi-piece i did with a flattened, twisted section. it was also one of the first pieces that i kinda planned out before making. it had been dubbed the 'predator pipe' and multiple ppl told me to see the movie 'ExistenZ' when they saw this piece(weird movie). hope ya like it! mostly amber tubing with ruby and garnet frit, this was originally just an experiment in hollow streaching. kept goin' with it for a bit, then started seeing what i was aiming for, and planning a bit more.... about 7.5 inches long..... anyone ever heard of pink socks.... ?

aint no tube used on this piece, all 4-6mm rod and fume. t'was gonna be side-car-less, kinda hammer-ish, but my buddy pointed out that it'd kinda look bat-man-ish if i did so.... glad he pointed that out, thanks:P

i dont really know how to describe this piece, but i had fun figuring out how to decorate the squiggly thing it started out as.

another late-night adventure, this one began with no vision of the end product. a streached tripple donut was all i had in mind. from there, many inspirations twisted through my mind, but i think some of Cuatro's seaforms were most prominent. colors were achieved by blowing a Peacock Chamelion coilpot into a gold-fumed clear tube(thanks, slinger), then some depth re-arrangement, through honeycombing and inside-outing with clear(and more gold on the inside) i really like this color combo, and the contrast... it didn't photograph well, tho, it's much more vibrant in hand than on-screen. approx 6" long.........................

HOLY %@$* THIS WAS A LOT OF WORK!! not done yet, the jar's going to be attached, eventually..... there's between 200 and 300 terminations in total... i think the jar has 88.... it's about the size of a shot glass.about 30-35 hours total, so far....just playing around, i just had to see what it'd look like. these are all pieces that follow the same one-piece-multi-section theme. the description doesn't make much sense, but i'm not sure the pieces do, either. enjoy.

my name is Dan, and i've been on a torch since '99 in BC Canada. i'll continue to play with glass and fire 'till i cut and burn my hands off... at that point i'll have to learn to spin with my feet! cant get enough of this stuff. thanks to everyone who posts and browses this site, it has been a great source of information, inspiration, and connection.
