fish out of water

this is one of my koi sculptures which are ever evolving. I did this on in october, it's the first one I tried with colored rod. I usually use fume on clear to color the fish. I used dark orange for the body and fumed the back with silver. the base is some type of slate like rock that I hand sanded to a 600 grit finish. the fish is probably about 6" in length.
