The Replacement

The Replacement

Posted by Hank on 3/16/2006
I had a friend buy a peice and break some legs and a marble off of it. When I put it in my big kiln, I hadn't realized a power outage had reset my controler.... It ramped straight up to a little over 2000 degrees before I noticed when I looked inside I had the most beautiful puddle inside.... I had to replace it. It had been a yearand I had learned a couple of new tricks and was dying to use them on something.

I've never sat down with another blower. I bought a couple of videos to get me started, but that's it. I can't get a multi artist session to save my life.
I'm in Kentucky in the middle of nowhere. I live in a huge old house and use the garage as my shop. I love it! Feel free to email me

Thanx
I appreciate the comments and am glad to talk to other blowers. I've been blowing for about 4 years, but took the last year off because of a seizure disorder. I've found myself a little out of groove, but am picking up. Keeping my artistic mind is difficult when I have to do some production to get by. (too many poor peaple here to work only headies.) I think everyone feels the same way about makin' em sicker each time. If anyone is in or going through ky. let me know. I live 3500 sq. ft. house. I have plenty of room and dogs are welcome.
