disco stemless... March 2006

Posted by AJ on 3/18/2006
the biggest struggle for me is to find my own style...
the pinwheels may be a remotly original variation
(im sure its been done before but i havent seen it)
so lets see here i bit... Banjo, Shad, Fro, Bearclaw, and Smilley. (theres not much you guys havent done)

i spent about 16 hours or so on this one. it came in pretty big at 22 sections, 1 1/2 pounds, and 10" x 6". mostly cobalt, and disco. the pinwheels are forrest and acid. the tube pull was what was left from my last 2 posts.
this was made over 2 days, and the disco never gave me any problems, it never cracked once. im also forever amazed at what a 10mm handle can hold!
...anyway, thanks for checking it out...
p.s. disco photos like crap

less thermal shock if you do
James Shelton: isn't necessary to encase unless you're looking for smooth surface work. Otherwise it is chill I/O just pre4heat the rods or they will pop on you. (thermal shock)
