just got a new kiln. decided it's time to use some old pieces rather than making more to sit around. the hanging chamber is about a year and a half old, minus the cobalt additions. i could never come up with a design that worked well with it. now it's part of a double bub. i really dont know what to say... i think it is about the largest, most elaborate piece i've made.it burbulates like mad. hope you like.
.... bubbles up clear/fumed chamber and out cobalt tube at top left, through centre of donut at 10:30 position and out to mouth
hole on top is for easier access to second chamber.... mainly for cleaning...?
i might close it up, as it is almost redundant. alternately, maybe a glass stopper...?
it's about 8 inches tall, 7.5 long, base is 3.25 diam.
sits nice and firm, but leans a little.
it's almost asking for eyes...
passage around the arc, around donut at 10:30 position, down cobalt from top, down colored portions (splits into 2 tubes where cobalt joins at top, then 4, back to 2, and enters fumed transparent section at bottom....

of pathway to mouth. lower h2o dhamber is force perc/stemless, not really depicted here

this is a weird old piece that i recently put legs on, so it would sit right. it kinda looks like an alien head, with a gas mask on, when you hold it up...... anyway, this one was made by making a tripple-donut, poppin' a little hole on the inside wall where the 3 stems meet, and putting caps over the 3 donut holes, thereby creating a tripple-stemless with the 'not-stems' attached to the wall of the water chamber. the neck is connected to one of the 'caps'(the clear-er domes) if this makes sense, maybe it'll shed some light on the hanging water chamber in "home for an old piece". the stemless-donut-water-chambers were made around the same time, about a year and a half ago..... it's about 9.5" x 4". water chamber is about softball sized. hopen you liken
