I started down 'the path of glass' in San Diego, Ca. in January 2000. I've traveled coast to coast learning and working in many different studios, from little sheds to kick-ass shops. I appreciate all the help, support and inspiration I've been given. MANY THANKS. I've recently moved back to Northern California (Humboldt) to raise my family and dedicate myself to glass.
This December, I was honored with the opportunity to create all seven trophies, Eddy Lepp's Lifetime Achievement Award, and the much-anticipated door prize at Area 101's Emerald Cup.
Recently, I established a glass studio in an art facility in Arcata, California, where my focus is on pushing the boundaries of glass art and creating a collaborative working environment. I will be hosting workshops there starting in early 2009, opening up opportunities for those who wish to learn, or advance their knowledge of, the craft. Hope to see or hear from all of ya'. PEACE => Matt C.

like the popin color combo, and about the siggy, i like them, and feel they are no different than signing a painting, print or sculpture. coward should understand that signing (and dating) add an archival quality to artwork that significantly increases the value of the work, and that's not just my "idea", it's a fact that any art dealer or well educated collector will atest to. but hey your preference is your choice
