My name is Marcel, I'm long overdue to have a gallery here so here you go: I run a studio called Living glass Works in Eugene Oregon. In addition to making headpieces for over ten years I build custom tools and kilns as well as license and design kilns through AIM kilns. At Living Glass Works we offer classes both privately and in a "workshop" format with 6 to 10 students. To contact us by phone call 1-877-293-2920. Mad props to my shopmates: Dale S., J-Lee, Chris Carlson.

Collab with Chris Carlson. jet black, star white. The octopi have about a 14 inch span when the tentacles are still straight out. Two full size octopi are pretty rare...thats over 32 attachments. Every tentacle is attached back to the bub so this beauty can be handled without fear. Thanks for the raging session and killer pics Chris...
Black and white tuxedopuss forever...

This was our last piece in 2006. Manageably sized, it came together flawlessly. Check out the Jason's killer feathers on the side of the can...

As you can see this piece is a little bit bigger than our background...I'll repost it when our new background comes in. It' s a huge stemless with a metal stand that I fabricated myself. Dale S. and I churned this beast out last week. Thanks for looking...

In my opinion, saying everything has been done before in glass is one of the most limiting points of view an artist could take.
That said, my new work is an execution of traditional italian cane work on the torch. There's only one way to make a true reticello...you can tell if you're doing it well by how the bubbles look.
At LGW we do lot's of things as a team and this is no exception. 40' canes are hard to pull by oneself. Huge props to Jason Lee for the monster assist on this one, and of course Dale is solid like a rock.
Photos by Chris Carlson, Thanks bro!!!!

Well, Dale and I decided to have a little fun this last week and ended up bringing forth some serious evil... The first tube pull gashed my hand open but I just glued it shut and carried on with what turned out to be a somewhat absurdly large project.
