The California Maple is a shrub that thrives well in the sunny climates of California....Here is my artistic interperatation of a leaf from this fun loving little tree.......
The Disco Purps color is all from the hand pulled pound i mentioned previously...used almost all of it too....!
This sucker is about 2 pounds -11" tall... Pix are a little sketchy here and there...used the flash alot to bring out the sparkle.
The leaves are tacked down on every individual leaf & stem + one main one in the back.
~Thanks for looking.

THIS SUCKER IS FAIRLY LARGE ..I TEND TO USE A LOT OF BIG SHAPES...THROWS OFF THE SIZE PERCEPTION ON MY PIECES A LOT ..HENCE MY CONSTANT ATTENTION TO CLARIFIEING THE SCALE.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE TUBES... The geometric stuff lines up in different ways as you look at the piece from all the right angles...one of those things you need to see in person........its cool though... Febuary'03

>>>>>> '97 <<<<<<
" I suddenly became stangely inebriated. The external world became changed as in a dream.Objects appeared to gain in relief; they assumed unusual dimensions;and colors became more glowing .Even self-perception and the sense of time were changed. When the eyes are closed, colored pictures flashed past in a quickly changing kaleidoscope. After a few hours, the not unpleasent inebriation, which had been experienced whilst I was fully conscious, disappeared. What had caused this condition ?" ~Albert Hofmann, Laboratory Notes (1943) >>>Thanks for checking out my Art.<<<
*And a big shout to all those that have supported me & supported my Art along the way. **Thanks to all the guys i used to work with and bounce ideas with in Boulder. (H-Bomb,J.A.G.,Newman,Brother Willis,Pabilsag,Galactic T and everyone else that was there back then) ***Big Thanks to Everyone on this site for all the Inspiration and Influence and all the people that make it go 'round.
