This piece is as bright as it is tight! Dichro cane tube wigwag reversals, solid Teal tubing with cobalt tracers, Ring Seal Drop Stem; diffused. Sweet marbles all around. Went together like a dream, and it hits like one too.

I made this in '06 for one of my best friends. He is also my tattoo artist, so we exchange art pretty regularly. He named this piece Elvira.

~Dichro Hammer~

Here's a 'Cane-build' dichro hammer I made from some pieces of flat cane I pulled but never got around to using. The body has 2 layers of dichro - CBD rainbow bars with a layer of CBS blue/green over it. CBS rainbow bars blinger marble, a double sided spinning cane and a crisp opal marble to top it off. Pics by Matt.

Window Magic

Window Magic

Glass Aficionado Magazine Cover piece for March 2007.

Reprinted from interview: For this piece I tried some new ideas I had recently with the clear wigwag windows. I have been playing around with these a lot the last year or two, and they were originally inspired by a Bearclaw piece.

I made some special stick stack tubing for this piece which has red/black lines on the inside of the tubing, and is completely black on the outside of the tubing. Most of the exterior of the pipe is black, but I utilize the clear wigwag windows to show the red/black designs on the inside of the pipe.

The piece is GonG style, and includes two different sized bowls and a matching GonG ash-catcher. I'm loving the GonG stuff because it adds new challenges in designing the piece...

Fire & Ice (and nothing else nice).

Fire & Ice (and nothing else nice).

Sherlock has 2 Dichro Galaxy marbles, a "N8" signature murrine marble, and intricate thorn webbing on the right side of the piece. The jar comes with the rubber cork, and has a clear magnifier on the bottom (not pictured). Also on the jar is a Dichro Galaxy marble and 2 matching solid black horns. The bat has a mammoth galaxy marble to assure it won't roll off the table.

Dichro Stand-up Sherlock

Dichro Stand-up Sherlock

Dry Standup Sherlock from Fall 2005. This piece was made with Orange Crayon/Chocolate Crayon Brown S/S Tubing, and the other tubing you see is some DA Dichro over a star white backing for one half, and Chocolate/Twilight/Star White for the other half, done in a cane pick-up style and rolled up. Lots of implosion murrine on this piece.

Dichro Sidecar

Dichro Sidecar

This sidecar was made in Fall 2005. It is made from Half/Half tubing made from CBS Rainbow Bars Dichro over Black Violet, and the other half is made of Caramel/Black Violet/Aqua Azul. Aqua Azul carb and wigwag bridge/badge. Topped off with a ratty implosion murrine marble.

~ Dichro Penetrating Corkscrew Bub II

~ Dichro Penetrating Corkscrew Bub II

Not the best pics, but it was before I even owned a decent camera. One of my personal favorite pieces. It's the sucessful version of an earlier attempt, and this one came out much better than I could have expected.

Yup, there's a pipe in there underneath all those attachments! So, do you like dichro? ...ALOT??? GOOD! HERE!

Double/Triple Bub

Double/Triple Bub

One of the last of 2005 - It can be a double bub, but add water to the compression bubbler stem/handle and it becomes a triple bub! This thing rumbles!

Ruby Slippers Evil-lock

Ruby Slippers Evil-lock

It's been awhile since I've posted - I'm off the pipe-diet and I once again have a trusty Mirage. Ready to rock.

Ruby Slippers (Experimental Sparkle Red from a few years back) and Aqua Azul sherlock. Not my usual style, but I'm just getting back into the flow and I was having some fun. Definitely GP inspired, that's for sure. GonG equipped, vape adapter not shown.

Thanks for looking!

Chico's Pipe

Chico's Pipe

I made this sherlock for Chico, my first glass teacher. When I met Chico, he was kind enough to let me watch him during his glass sessions. After awhile, he'd give me the keys to his shop when he and his family would leave to go camping on the weekends. These were the times I was left to create with no one looking over my shoulder. Thanks for everything Chico - I am forever in your debt.

Big Ol' Sled Bubbler

Big Ol' Sled Bubbler

Here's a big sled bub - I wasn't particularly stoked on this at first, but as she came together, I liked it more and more. More of the Orange Crayon/Lt. Cobalt sections, and a little bit of dichro from everyone on here. There's CBS in the ribbons, CBS and DA on the can reversals (double layered), and Accucolor in the galaxy marble on the front. The way this piece sits on your chest when you're kicked back makes it the perfect piece for after work when you relax in the your favorite easy chair. Ahhh yea.

~Cobalt/Orange Crayon Sidecar w/ Triple Donut I~

~Cobalt/Orange Crayon Sidecar w/ Triple Donut I~

My first stickstack piece ever. I was in awe when I saw how clean and consistant my work became after switching to stickstacks. Triple Donut Sidecar w/ Horns and Jar Attachment.

Just Another Rasta Bubbler

Just Another Rasta Bubbler

UPDATE! This piece was stolen from me at the Seattle Hempfest 2005 by an unknown THUG.

This 1-1/2lb Rasta themed bub was made from some left over from a few custom pieces I did. It has 3 Accucolor Dichro Galaxy marbles (1 red, 1 gold, 1 green dichro), an Accucolor 'Beetle' Dichro Twisted Cane along the side and a forest green external snorkle carb. Nothing innovative here really, but I had way too much fun assembling this one - it just kept getting bigger and bigger.

Penetrating Corkscrew Dichro Hammer

Penetrating Corkscrew Dichro Hammer

I hate this piece for personal reasons, it's nothing like I envisioned, not to mention I screwed it up tons of times...YOU can't tell, but I can...Not for sale as it is now a cracked fishtank ornament...

Monster Fire Bub w/Floating Marble

Monster Fire Bub w/Floating Marble

~~STOLEN~~ Be careful dealing with Ramon Delgado and Melissa Eisler of Pandora's Box in Albany New York. I was foolish and sent them glass that was only partially paid for and never received the remaining payment of $800. They just up and disappeared with no contact or explanation. I learned a valuable lesson - get paid in full!!!

2004 - Cognac, Tomato Soup, and Yellow Crayon. Other sections are Elvis, yellow crayon, and onyx. 30 sections in all. Rotating Vortex marble suspended between the can and the stem that rotates perfectly in all directions. Opal, and dichro blinger marbles, and snorkle carb. Thanks for looking!

Cobalt/Orange Crayon Sidecar w/ Triple Donut II

Cobalt/Orange Crayon Sidecar w/ Triple Donut II

Here's a Orange Crayon/Lt. Cobalt Blue Sidecar with horns, Dichro and opal marbles, and cool tear-away bowtie on the can. This piece fits so nice in the hand, it should be called 'The Glove'

Hyacinth/Orange Crayon Sherlock Bub

Hyacinth/Orange Crayon Sherlock Bub

Late 2005 bubbler - Bright Hyacinth/Orange Crayon color combo, and a nice touch of Lavender tubing. There are some nice marbles and a water viesing window on the back of the can. Includes a Ring Seal drop stem, which is 10+ times stronger than the traditional dropstem. (Thanks Anders!)

1st Dichro Canebuild Piece

1st Dichro Canebuild Piece

My first Dichro Cane Build Piece ever!!! Blue/Green CBS dichro (off a sheet of CBS rainbow I think?) and a cane of Turbo, Aqua Azul and Peacock? inbetween the dichro. Phat dichro Vortex Marble.

~A Rasta Colored Schlammer~

~A Rasta Colored Schlammer~

Here's a piece for a good ol' friend down in CA. Enjoy B! Made the spoon afterwards to practice the solid color disc flips. What sucks is I didn't get the ratty on the bottom of the can done with green tube and star white.

The Chunky Green Hammer

The Chunky Green Hammer

This was one chunky hammer! Circa late 2005. Onyx, Forest Green, Jade Powder and Glow Powder (white) were used on this piece. Ring Seal dropstem.

Alice in Wonderland Theme

Alice in Wonderland Theme

This piece is based on the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland, and instead of a hookah, the caterpillar is puffing on a pipe that is just a smaller version of the one he is sitting on. Description tells more...

Boldenrod Sidecar

First time using the new Poppy and Goldenrod by Northstar. I really liked both of them alot, workability-wise as well as the brightness of the final output. I call this color combo BOLDENROD!

Here are the results of experimenting with marble blow-outs and disk flips...I really dig the chunkiness of the blue/green piece. Thanks to Ryan and The Wizzard for enlightening me with their unusual style waaaay back in '02. PS...Check out the color gradients up close.

I'm N8, a 30-something y/o glass artist residing in beautiful Colorado. I started lampworking in 2002 and while I'm primarily self-taught, I did receive plenty of help along the way from a few good friends and the GLDG forum. Glassblowing has taken me all around our beautiful country while providing many great experiences and lifelong friendships - I wouldn't trade it for anything. The artwork shown here is not for sale and I'm not currently taking any custom requests while I pursue my own creative vision.
