how-2-make  HOLLOW grams i've been working on these 4 years and i've done em a bunch of ways but, i think this is the best one.

step 1

carve sum-tin cool in the end of a graphite rod. 1" works best.

prep. yer self a worked open ended tube 'bout 1" inner diameter and a thick wall.

heat 'bout 1.5" down a 31mm rod and cut it with some diamond shears .

if you don't have 31mm rod you can gather som-tin up but this is the quickest way.

fuse a handle on 2 the center of yer 31mm chunk

knock the 31mm rod , it should break and leave w/ a chunk on a handle.

tweaze off any dirty glass on the end

heat up your chunk so that the front is white hot but, the rest gets stiff as you go back towards the handle.

push it down on2 yer graphite carving.

mush it good but , not 2 good . ya kinda gotta stop at a piont and hold it till it hardens. ( ha ha that's what i told er )

take the preped tube out of kiln and heat up rim at the same time heat up the rim of your newly made chunk of glass. when there very liquid-e fuse 2gether , give it a lil' pull and puff to make the fusion nice.

melt fusion again till it flow together seamlessly.

marvering can help to get more work done w/ less heat , and the less you heat the image the sharper it will be.

melt off yer handle and clean off any dirt glass.

heat and marver till you have a nice shape that will show off your image well.

After he did that, it looks like he just welded it to the open end of that worked tube. see pic one!
pretty sweet technique i must say. Spray some fume in it, then attach to the open end.

u can fume the imprint or fill it in with color and then drop it on the end of that premade spoon w/ the open end

looks like
a nice way to cap prodo spoons, i dig. I think carving somthing that doesn't look like shit will be the hard part....thanx for sharin.
