This is the first multi-section piece that I actually completed in sellable form. Of course, I didn't sell it, but gave it to my bro PB, who taught me how to controllably melt and shape boro.
The colors are Triple Passion, Blue Caramel and Silver Tears. The 'canvas' is a Triple Passion 'blow in'. The stem is about 4.5 inches long, the carriage is about 2.5 inches tall.
Not the cleanest piece of work; particulalry, the terminations are fuzzy. But I was pretty stoked, having only been working glass for 11 months, and mostly making spoons and onies.
I'll have to get some 'after' pics too, it colored in way more than I thought it would.
Thanks for lookin'.

Been around glass almost daily since late '99, but didn't get on the torch for real until April '06. I was a partner in the now defunct Eugene Glass Alliance, but only messed around on the torch for a couple weeks before deciding to spend my time doing other things, like building and maintaining the EGA website, which some of you here may remember. I also did quality control for the production shop. Man, I was a mother-f**kin' nit-picker. It worked out pretty good though, because that pushed the kids in the shop to develop methods to make their pieces cleanly and efficiently, and now they are the ones teaching me. Big ups to PB and Dallas! Woot Woot!! Much thanks fellas! Props to Banjo, Shad and Alissa for being cool cats and sharing ideas with me, Gregor K, Adam D and Vinnie for inspiration to "Just Do It", and all the rest of you out there for making all this a reality.
Thanks for stopping by; hope you like what you see.
