I work with Alchemy #70 frits they're great for sculpture. |
I make my pieces with eyes and teeth so they can defend themselves. |
Its a pipe |
I called it Not Sher because I wasn't and niether is it. |
I like glass....alot. |
I call them spunes because I think its clever. Also I'd like to bring back the high-five, they're fun. |
I run a shop and recently we had money stolen from the shop fund by. It turns out that it was probably someone who works in the shop........Anger, betrayal, saddness, surprise, its all in there. I took all the hate and distrust and tried to put it into this piece. I got as much in as I could without destroying it. Then I felt better. Cathartic. ( Is that how you spell cathartic?) |
This spune is picking its own nose. What else can I say. |
I have started to develope this free style aproach, where i use asymetrical shapes and my carving techniques to create a piece. There is no prep work involved in this piece other than the point and the tooth cane. This is the first with more to come. Hey thanks for taking the time! |
Most of my work is not planned, but this one sort of made itself. It was a fun ride. |
There is allot going on in this one. I think maybe too much, but I learned from it so i guess it was a victory. |

Hi Im Salt in case we havent met. Im new to this site and the reaction to my work has inspired me to make more and reach a little further. This piece was off the top, except for the eyes. Its uh my new kick and its really fun. I like alot of music that could be described as underground hip hop. The idea of the "freestyle" ryhme has allways intriged me. I sort of realized by accident that I could apply it to my work. This is the result. Thanks for looking. keep it hot. |
