Lean Green

Lean Green

Here is a set I made recently, haven't made a bub in a while so the bottom of the can is a little small for my taste.
Messin with some small vac stacks on this one. One double layer vac stack, one regular vac stack, one 3 layer sleeved pull and one vac stack rod pull.
I've had some changes in my life that cut into my torch time kind of heavy for what I am used to. I am finding that looking forward to working and having to work and hustle more to get the torch time has re-inspired my relationship with glass and my business. Here's to the future!!! Thanks for skopin my work!!

The Phantom

The Phantom

Made this piece on a Phantom yo, hence the name. over 22" tall and over 12" wide at the base of the tripod.
Check it out at the Piece Of Mind booth at C.H.A.M.P.S. this week!!

Thanks a ton to by buddy Justin (this piece may not have been done in time without him going way out of his way for me) for going above and beyond in hospitality on the last second tip, when I called him at 10 at night to rush over the next morning to the coast to finish this beast cause it got too big for my kiln, woops! And thanks to Tristan and Mr Gray as well for the use of the shop and kiln space, I look forward to getting over there again to blow some shiz, the shop is very cozy!!

Sorry about the shizzy pics, just snapped em before packing it up.

Thanks for checkin out my work!!!
And Thanks to all who are inspiring me to go after it, the list gets longer every day!!!!

Almost forgot, diffuser and splash guard.

Horrible pics

Horrible pics

Piece is gone so I can't take better pics.

Here is some shiz I made the first two days on my new Delta plus 4 tube pulls of course, awwwwwwwwww it's like a breath of fresh air!

Tacked the downstem to the bottom of the can on the bub so I had to open it up fix it, then coiled some coral blush and honeycombed it and reshaped the bottom of the can, all whilst it was built.

The Delta made this easy!!!
Thanks GTT for making outstanding torch's!!!!

Thanks for lookin!

Random pics

Random pics

Pics of some stuff that have been piling up in my camera, made on the Delta this month. I'm starting to figure out how to set the lighting in the box and set the camera to get better pics, but I'm not there yet.

These are pretty much my first attempts at horns, I'll get em good soon!!!

Thanks for lookin!!!!!!!

honey, where's my comb?

honey, where's my comb?

Made this bub real quick last night, had a bub that went bad sitting on the bench, so I ripped this arm off of it and made a new can, pulled some cane and slipitty slapped some horns on it. Went real smooth, made me want to make more nicer pieces for sure.

Eush's visit got me re-inspired to step out into lala land and just make some shizz cause I can. (not ment in a cocky kind of way, more in an artistic sense) Thanks a ton Eush!

Thanks for scopin my work, and thanks for all the inspiration G.P.

Giants fan

Giants fan

Made this simple set for a friend (S.F. Giants fan). I wanted to do something a little different than what I have been doing, and he wanted a hammer so this is what came of it. I just kind of intentionally did things different than I usually would.

I think this one will color up real nice though.

Jet black, orange crayon, schott tubing and some silver and gold fume.
Thanks for scopin it!!!

Layed back

Layed back

Made a quick trip to arcata to do a collab with D, and Matt C. jumped in for a sec.

D made the two spiral balls in the can (top and bottom of can), built the can, put the bridges on the dummy discs, and did the flat spot.

I did the tube pulls, made the two reversals in the middle of the can, the bowties and dummy discs, the mouth piece and arm, did the main weld, the carb and the mouthpiece.

Matt prepped the bottom of the can for attachment.

D was finishing up his piece when I had to leave. Haven't got to see his finished yet.

This was my first layback, thanks for the inspiration D!!!

I gotta say thanks to Matt C, and D for all the hospitality!!!!

Thanks for lookin!

Thanks for lookin!!

Simply Stemmless

Simply Stemmless

This is my first stemless, and GonG, I Wanted to make a simple one to figure out the order of construction and all that jazz. The next one will be off the hook.(and have the proper GonG fitting) I can't wait to make another one! The first doughnut cracked in half when the piece was almost done(chinese tubing), was able to salvage the piece though!

Exactly 15" long.

Thanks for the influence Eush!!

Thanks for lookin!!!

First collab

First collab

Took a quick trip to Arcata to meet Matt, D, Eric and Lurch for a Collab effort.

Lurch did the pull for the reball on the bottom of the can,(which I forgot to take a pic of) D did the pull for the two reballs just above the bubble on the can and the front of the mouth piece, Matt did the pull for the two reballs above D's in the can, and Eric did the blowin used for the Snorkel and the back of the mouthpiece.

Also D gave me the opal mib on the piece.

I would like to thank everyone for the experience and everything I learned. And Justin, for the tips on speeding up my tube pulls and making a system for doing long pulls by my self. Which I have already implemented and they both worked great!!!!!

So it ended up, me just making a piece with other peeps prep, but it was still a blast!!!!!!!!!!

Black and White

Black and White

Made this one in my travels, started it at the cornerstone in Eugene and jacked the first mouth piece. Thanks Jay for recomending putting a new disc on!

Put the new disc on the mouthpiece at a new friends shop in Washington and made the jar. The first time I ever tried a blow out for tubing purposes. Thanks to Jeff for suggesting the application as use for the star white fats I have and Emmett for helping with the steps of doing this tech!

Thanks to the cornerstone for hookin a blower up and having lots of cool peeps to hang out with. And thanks to everybody in the shop for the influence and anything I learned!!

I am still in Washington but am looking forward to getting home and bustin out. I am starting to feel confident in my new found abilities.

Thanks again to everybody in the glass blowing communnity, I am enjoying glass again and am very excited about the future of this medium!!!!!

Thanks for lookin!

Lesson learned

Lesson learned

Made this 10/22, bottom cracked, too much time out of the kiln while doing attachments. Figured I'd put it on here though to remind myself of my costly mistakes!

Thanks for lookin.

Lots of Eusheen influence in case you didn't notice.LOL

Squat attempt

Squat attempt

Made this the other day, not real clean but they will be soon. This was the first piece I mad that wasn't a spoon since Eusheens. I rushed it when doing the attachments cause it was late, won't let that happen again!

I'll be making some signature milli's soon so I can put them on my pieces.

Thanks for looking!

Sorry about the lighter. Looks tacky.

A few firsts

A few firsts

Spent 2 days at Eusheens on 5th,6th (10/08) gettin schooled and made this the second day.
Eush helped me verbally and constructively through the piece and helped me with the flat spot. He also gave me the facet.

Thanks for everything Eush and Natey, I had a blast and learned a lot! I really appreciate all the hospitality. It was an eye opening experience for me!

Here comes another dude pumpin out high end prodo!!!!!!!

A few more of these and I should have them cleaned up.

I,m happy with it though, made this one yesterday.
Should have just made it a natural, too late......

Lefty

Lefty

Made this yesterday and the "Beginning" on monday, back to rod encasement for me. Seems faster working them cold to me. Any tips are very welcome, trying to clean up my wigs and wags.
Doesn't look functional but is perfect for a lefty.
By the way, all my bubs are defused.
May make another today, it's hard spending the rest of my day doing prodo after making one of these, I just want to make another and another.......

The Beginning

The Beginning

Getting tired of cheap prodo, going to start making a few more involved pieces a week. Hopefully progress will be fast since I have not taken much time out for this kind of stuff.
Tried this pull laying color inside 51x4.8 since I usually lay and rod encase.
More comming soon, thanks for all the inspiration GP!

Fell into glass for self employment purposes and found that I love it. I have always been into some form of expressive art (music, skateboarding, a little bit of drawing and such, lately a little beatboxing) but found that glass has what I need to take my expression to the endless realms I wish to explore. I am excited about stepping out of my box and exploring new possibilities. I will have been on the torch for 5 years in jan 2009. I feel my production experience has paid me dividends, I am now comfortable with glass as a whole and will be aggressively pursuing new paths in my glass blowing career! Thanks to everybody posting your work,it is very inspiring for me to see every post! Thanks to Eusheen, Jason Lee, Marcel, Chris Carlson and El Hefe for the more direct impact your hard work has proven to have on my path whether you know me or not! If I have not met you yet, I will some time hopefully in the near future, and will thank you all in person! Thank You for checking out my work. I will be adding as I afford myself more and more time for new direction of my own. All art for viewing only, not for sale.
