X-stern-L stem bub. yellow blow ins with portland grey wig wag sections. plus emrold dicro backed with yellow 4 ears. i really like the white tusks on this one and i think i'll keep that on future pieces . the ellys i've done in the past had twisted color tusks but i think the white one look a lot more tusky.
i don't know how the featured page thing works on here, but have 2 say it seams pretty click-e some people get there shit feature every time, while others push the medium and get no feature. it would be kinda nice if it was more bout what you blow and not who you know.

it's all about the presentation...
# of pics,
quality of pics,
title originality,
each pic titled and labled,
and originality of the piece.
the trick to deal with the cliques is to make pages that attract clicks(of the mouse.
sometimes a simple joke or lyric will help people to relate to the piece and yourself.
your work is awesome and i am a fan, so try to understand this as constructive...
your original burn-a-nator was a sic piece. it had a great title, story, and lots of pics... no wonder it was featured.
i like the elephants, but another elephant in yellow titled "puff-a-luff-a-guss yellow" is bland.
i bet if you made three pink elephants, took pics of them in a row, titled the "series" "pink elephants on parade"
and maybe included a pic from the movie dumbo. you would not only get featured, but also likely sell the pieces for double.
you have great technical skill and original ideas.
just work on your presentation.

there is a MODERATOR LIST button to click on that shows everybody, and all previous actions(top left sideof page).
however speaking as only one of the 13 level3 mods...
the balance of individual achievement compared to an industry(if thats what we have here) achievement is what defines a feature to me, and that line is constantly in flux.

of course I feel guilty since i have two featured pages right now, and the bubs arent super crazy.BUT.. i CAN say that, I've never met either of the people who featured me...
the featured gallery thing isnt unbiased...there are only 13 or so people who can feature, and its all personal.we're all human, and we all like certain styles... you gotta hope that someone with feature power likes your stuff. this is ALL subjective.

not that i'm not getting featured (sure its nice 2 get featured) its cuz i saw a cupple boroburner pieces with plasma and a good few phattassglass pieces like the raygun and dolphin penny piece and also someone posted those alien flower pieces get pass up. while other seam to get a feature every single time

paco, like myself, has been posting and participating in this particular community for a long enough to see the effects of loose moderation.
the more people are loose with their selections, the more uninspired pieces get featured, which washes the pieces containing inspiration off the page faster, which negates the purpose of the features, which is to give people a better chance to see the inspiring pieces.
the purpose of the feature is not to give an apathetic pat on the back every time someone pulls off a standard piece.
It's purpose is to showcase excelence.
It is the glory recieved for stepping out of your boundaries and trying your hardest, wether you're a first year noob or a veteran, what we enjoy most is seeing the pieces that represent an epiphany in the way glass is approached.
the last time the moderator numbers were boosted, the feature page filled up with spoons.

i agree
I just noticed that I was a level 3 and wasn't sure what to make of it. I post once in a while and am on this site 2-3 times a day. I would only feature if I felt it pushed the envelope in some way, but too many level 3s will probablly flood the feature section and ultimately take away from the work that is expanding the limits of the medium.

I am now a level 3 mod and I will feature nothing. Justin, if you can I would like to not be able to feature If you look there are now things up there that don't deserve to be there. People like bearclaw and eusheen get featured everytime because their stuff is always awesome. You might not have liked the way the level 3 mods posted, but they knew to only feature things that are of the highest quality.

who should be able to dicide what is inspiring? frankly i think it is dickist to say some of the new features aren't worthy. maybe you don't think so but some one else did. does yours or someone else's opion carry more weight some how? for those that have gotten features in the past maybe someone saw your feature and didn't think it was worthy. maybe some people haven't been on glasspipes.org as long as some of you but that dosen't mean they haven't been on the torch as long. if you think the inspiration is wiped off to fast click around , its pretty easy to find clinton or bearclaws gallery. me personaly would rather see things open and friendly than opionated and snobish. like i said be for prop all around.

what does this have to do with beauty?? why do you need props so bad anyway?? none of this "click" jumped out and demanded any respect or props..it just came to them from the energy they put forth in there work and there presentation of there work, and there presentation of themselves as people and as a community...no offense to anyone but if i put all my blood sweat and tears into a peice and then got all stoked to share it with this community and then got featured by nomad..think i would feel satisfied?? HELL FUCKIN" NO!! this is coming from me..im not in the top 100 nor do i think i deserve to be... i do think its great to see all different kinds of peices get posted from all types of people but i think it should only be the cream of the crop peices that should be featured..peices that set standards both technically and creatively.. not just..well that guy s reversals got alot tighter..so lets feature this!! total bullshit!....obviously by the title of your post you were just trying to start shit..i know alot of people really do give a shit about this place..i hope everything can get sorted out, until then im with chubbles..and i wont be touching my feature button...
