"Clasic" Apple Pipe

It all started back in kansas. there were some tuff times in the pipe market circa 2006. a lobbying group tobacco free kansas, lobbied to have tobacco paraphernalia re-defined and the penalties for sales of pipes to be increased. this has long been an issue in kansas however no one ever tried to enforce it until 2006 when all the head shops in lawrence Ks, were issued cease and desist orders and given 8 days to clear the shelves. of course all of the college kids decided if they were going to get glass now is the time. the shelves were empty in a matter of hours. the shop owners were on the phone calling all the local artist to get more stuff. let me tell you it was a hay day. everything sold in hours of dropping it off i must have worked non stop that whole week it was awesome while it lasted. one day i show up to drop off a load of glass and one of the gals at the shop say's you know when this is all over i am gonna put out a bag of apples and people can make their own pipes. well i had long had the idea to make an apple pipe out of glass. who hasn't? so i go home and make a dozen or so i bring em back and they are gone before they hit the shelve. so i make more and they too are gone like every other pipe that comes in. any way i liked them so much i have just kept on making them. they have become pet of my classics series.
