This is a 24" up-line bubbler. Horny, heavy and hot! Yet another piece I must attribute to Eusheen and his inspiring works of art.
I imagined when I finished this piece I could relate the experience to giving birth. I was in labor for three days. Between the bleeding, heat flashes and blow tube snapping off, I was cooked.
Alls well that ends well. I did what any single father would do and sold my baby to the nearest smoke shop. You know with the economy and all.
Thanks for looking. Peace.

Getting down with the bright colors for this collection. I love that tacky, candy-ass color.
The quality of colored glass has dramatically improved over the years. Giving us more options for new color combinations.
I had fun with these pieces. Thanks for looking. Peace.

Thank you for visiting the new and improved NSG studio. We have gone to great lengths in order to create an invigorating new workspace.
With the help of the whole crew, we managed to put this shop together in the middle of an Arizona summer. (If you've been here, you'd know).
This new space is a symbol of our dedication to the culture and its supporters. Day after day, we pay homage to the glass gods in thanks for being apart of this great community.

This truck had to be one of the more serious projects I've ever been involved with. To incorporate blown glass into a fully worked show truck was a dream come true. The owner is both my good friend and business partner (Jason). He started customizing this truck many years ago. Matter of fact, we finished this bad boy back in 2005. Good things come to those who wait. At least thats what I say when I'm totally slacking.
This truck was put together by a hand full of artist. Its one big fat mixed-media collaboration. Fortunately, this bad boy made cover of Mini Truckin' Magazine on June 2007. Big thanks goes out to Jason and his family for making this happen.
Wait until you see the next vehicle we got in the works, its gonna blow your brains out!!!

This piece was constructed in April 2010. Made for a great friend and connoisseur of glass.
Creating a custom piece for a true friend is a labor of love. Money and time have no place in the creative process. Only raw emotions and the desire to complete a piece that represents your appreciation exists.
Thank you art collectors world wide for your continued passion on all levels.

***WARNING***
The streets are run a mock with muggers! Ladies hold on to your purses and gents watch your wallets!
These unsavory characters can be found lurking down dark allies and dilapidated buildings.
Much love and respect goes out to my influences. (Jayme and Salt).

This post is special to me for two reasons. First, it documents a benefit held by No Stress Glass and friends. And secondly, it commemorates the first year of No Stress on GlassPipes.org.
I don't even know where to begin. This benefit was so important to me. An overwhelming amount of people came out to make this happen. I cant thank everyone enough for participating.
The benefit couldn't have been for a more deserving family. The love that was poured into this event clearly showed even in hard times people still know how to pull together and focus on whats really important.
The benefit was split into two separate events. The first took place at the No Stress Studio where a large collection of glass blowers from around the state of Arizona came out to donate their time and skills. The second half was at Joes Grotto in Phoenix where the finished pieces were auctioned and raffled off.
Again, this was the most meaningful experience that glass blowing has ever given me. I'm forever grateful for the support from everyone involved and whoever donated to this cause.
Thank you, much love.

I believe scientific glass work is the foundation for clean, strong, well made pipes. The ever evolving smoking apparatus is another sign of how pipe makers are fusing together multiple glass techniques to create a new form of expression.
Much respect to Hops for his inspiration and creation of the in-line perk. After all, its all about function as well as form.

Stemless piece with a penetrating bowl. The versatility of this design continues to push my boundaries.
This piece was made for a good friend here in the Valley of the Sun. It represents the fine line to walk between Love & Hate.
I'm in constant search for balance in my own life. I've found that when I feel anxious or incomplete, doing what i love can give me the fix I need.
You must feel No Stress!

A blend of old patterns with new stemless shaping. The kicker has to be that I set stuff on fire with the giant clear marbles stuck on this piece.Gotta love that AZ sun!
I'm going to make a habit of this style for my next few pieces. I also brought back my trademark skull marble, its been years since I used that. Thanks for looking, peace.

Classic technique crossed with mostly modern functionality. A little bit of that "out with the new in with the old" type design. A recurring theme I'm finding in most of my work lately. This was one of those pieces that grew on me as it developed. The second in a series of retro stemless bubs.
Thanks for looking. Peace.

The urban myth is true.
Flashback can and will happen.
What your about to witness is a true story. The happening took place on June 12, 2004 at a disclosed location. The victim is a mild mannered glassblower who's luck had just run out.
I got two words for you:
FLASHBACK ARRESTS!!!!!!!!!

First off, GP.Org kicks ass! Much respect to all who love art pipes.
Here we have a couple hand-worked tubes. The second one was done by my fellow shop mates. A little collab gift for my birthday. Life is good when you got glass blowers for friends.
Enjoy. Peace.

I've been meaning to post this piece for quite some time. It was made in May of 2007. I found its home at Its All Goodz Smoke Shop in Phoenix, Arizona. (The premier source for hand blown glass in the valley).
This piece was featured on the cover of NewTimes for the August 16th, 2007 issue. Which is a local publication that is circulated all throughout the city.
Along with the cover shot ran an edgy article about the rising pipe culture and its legion of followers. I'm proud to be apart of this artistic revolution and will continue to spread my work to the masses.
Peace. MB

Photos from the Southwest Invitational Glass Blowing Festival here in Phoenix, Arizona.
This event took place on the 21st and 22nd of June this year. It was put on by Trails here in Phoenix and might I add, what a killer shin-dig they throw!
This was the first of whats to be an annual event. I definitely would recommend coming out for next years competition.
Too much fun! Peace.

This natural tube was custom made for a rock band here in the Valley. The smaller disc has their insignia. The symbol represents half pentagram half trebblcleph.
This is the third natural tube I've done using this form. I without a doubt would attribute my influence to the Great Eusheen.
So take it in, but beware of the PENTACLEPH!

Welcome to the No Stress Studio. We've worked our asses off to get to this point in our careers. Don't we deserve to be comfortable? I say you do what you love and you do it right!
We create a variety of products here in order to keep it fresh. The shop is running hot, six days a week, with no let up in sight. I have been involved in my share of multi-worker glass shops, but this one takes the cake. We opened the doors November 2006 and plan to keep this beauty around for many years.
"No Stress" was designed around the comfort as well as the safety of the Glassblower. Thanks for taking interest in our little hot box. If you fancy the shop and are going through the "Valley of the Sun", feel free to leave us a comment.

It's a double bub with a natural to in-line diffuser. Eusheen is a constant muse in my glass work. I would almost say he is an infection that has spread throughout my cerebral cortex. My brain speaks to me only in symmetry, horns and complex geometrical designs. Damn his addictive creations!
I wish only the best for Eush, Shen and the rest of their family. They've inspired me on and off the torch. Thank you, much love and respect! MB

Standing at 22 inches, 18 sections and one nasty attitude. May I present you another natural tube with bad intentions.
This piece again was a step towards creating a new theme for my style. The color I favored the most would be garnet. It has really played into my use of all translucent colors. So you'd better repent or you will be spending the rest of eternity with BEELZABUBBLA!

This is a custom stemless with the Imperial Seal found in the Star Wars movies. I used cherry for the body followed by jet black and borostix white for the symbol.
I didn't realize until the piece was finished that reversals weren't incorporated into the design. That seemed oddly amusing to me. Whereas, certain patterns can become the staple to a glass blowing diet. A change in eating habits can create a more healthy, well balanced glass pipe.
I had fun with this one, hope you all enjoy. Peace.

This is a collection of flower images, I spent way too much time setting them up. They make really cool patterns.
My friend Shawn worked his ass off to complete this custom order. He is well on his way to becoming a bad ass glassblower.
This is the first installment of more to come from other glassblowers at No Stress Glass.
Enjoy.

This old school inside-out bubbler was made custom for the Kottonmouth Kings.
Its got the works; including stash jar, custom marbles and the crown to match. It was made on Nov. 2, 2002 at Its All Goodz in PHX, AZ. The stem sections were made by Seth Hawkins.
This piece at the time definitely took me out of my comfort zone. So all hail the mighty Kottonmouth Monster!

Little rasta bub disked out with thin rattichello detail. I made this piece on 6/16/2006.
It was made for Pepper, they came by my house at 4 am on their way through town. It was practically still hot. From what I hear it never cools off. The other two pieces are from the past as well. They just don't have as interesting of stories.
Hope you dig da pics. No Stress is the way.

Sometimes you gotta go back to basics to recharge your battery. Only fuming was used to create this little guy.
It actually is the third one I've made in the last couple weeks. The original customer has been late picking it up, so they just go to the next bidder. I cant seem to keep it on the shelf. I guess it has to do with the fact that this style is out of date, so its harder to come by.
Peace and chicken grease!

Now I got a pair of naturals for y'all. Both made with an aqua/amber blowout.
I love this style of filtration, it gives so many opportunities for new designs. Its been awhile since I've posted anything I made recently.(Recent being in the last three months).
This is such a kick ass art form! This website is off the hook, I cant believe the sick work thats pouring out of here. CHEERS!

Sherlock bubbler with acid yellow, cherry and disco accents. The flower was made with OG moss, cobalt, forest green and purple. (Oh yea, galaxy marble was used as well).
I'm looking forward to include more over sized attachments on future pieces.
Thanks for taking a peak, Peace.

Red, gold and green! Large traditional hammer with classic banner and marble finish.
Rasta theme seems to never go out of style. What is it about with that combination of colors? Other than the obvious reference to Jamaica and reggae music. There is a some sort of subliminal message being sent to our brains telling us it's ok and enjoy the show.
So don't fight it, sit back, relax and chill. No Stress.
