"The Phoenix" & Daniel's Last Piece

  « Troy Bennett's Gallery

(Uncategorized)

"The Phoenix" & Daniel's Last Piece I'm honored that Daniel's Dad has asked me to share these with everyone. The skateboard deck was painted in honor of Daniel by Keith a friend and colleague of Daniel's.

A Beautiful Soul.
Daniel's will live on in us all forever. I was honored to meet him in 2006 at the Tucson Flame Off. My Life was changed the moment i met him and saw his work. his work is more detailed than most would imagine. He was always going the extra mile with his pieces. Spending 70+ hours working on sculptures. He never failed to amaze me with his attention to detail. I would never have gotten where i am today without Daniels inspiration. He will be missed. I send my Love to Daniels friends and family.

Peace~~~Eush

I actually got to hold the Phoenix piece. It was amazingly symetrical. and spun around on the wooden foot he made. Beautiful!

I remember the day he brought that piece to my house
It was the most elegant and well planned out pieces he made. He made this piece entirely with no kiln. Even though I taught Daniel, I always felt he taught me just as much. He wanted me to persue glass but I was too caught up in the music scene. After he passed, I decided that the only way to honor him was to go all in on glass. That is why I am posting things on this site now. I know that Daniel lives on through all of us. RIP Daniel Trilli

It reminds me that I and many others will someday shut off the kiln with our final pieces cooling inside.Knowing that we all need to push our limits and eliminate boundaries each time just as Daniel clearly did.I never had the pleasure to meet him but i continue to gain inspiration from his work thanks to this site and this community of which we are all roots of the same glass tree.Rest in peace Daniel Trilli and may your work continue to inspire many others.
