Salt and the Deep See: The Introduction

Salt and the Deep See: The Introduction When I first regained consciousness the creature that this piece is based on was in my hand, but I was still on the edge of the see so as I awoke and relaxed my hand this strange shell fish like animal used what looked like little water jets on the side of its body to propel itself away. Probably back to the bottom of the see. Well....no not the bottom, though I had originally encountered this thing at the greatest depth I have ever been, I had also come to recognize that the deep see probably had no bottom. After watching the thing which I later named Peniagone Gracilis Crustacio, which basically means crustaceous see cucumber, it occurred to me that by grabbing this thing I may have triggered it to react in a defensive manner, and basically it dragged back up to the surface trying to escape. I don’t know it’s all really fuzzy, however one thing seems clear. Even though the creature got away when I came back I brought some thing from the see with me.

This allows the creature to spin through the see at great speed.

Hi I'm Salt. I love what I do. I am very excited to be a part of this site and thus the "scene." Everyone has been very enthusiastic and welcoming since I posted. Thanks I wasnt sure what you guys,(and gals), would think. I would like to give respect to those who have inspired me and through the work they have developed helped me see what is possible.

I frst saw the work of one Scott Deppe in a California shop in 2001. I was 6 months behind the torch. I was only a few inches away from work that, well you just have to see it.
Two years later I met Scott at a gas confrence in Seatle. He had these Dragon spoons. If you've never seen one then I'm sorry. Scott's work helped me to realize what is possible and that there are no rules, just ideas, and thermodynamics.

This list could go on for a long time. It includes artists from many mediums, I know its lame but I have missspelled some names Im sure, I'll try to fix them asap. Loren Stump, William Morris, Ricky Swallow, Dondi, Milton Townsend, Picaso, Kozic, Robert Mickleson, Jared Delong, Alex Gray, Aesop Rock, Harold W. Cooney, Clinton, Bearclaw, MURS, DJ Shadow, Shepard Farley, Bansky, Sage Frances, Jason Lee, Marcel, and most recently, Smiley, JAG, Mr Gray, Banjo, and Im going to add more latter, right now I need sleep.
