Chapter 1: The Plunge continued

Chapter 1: The Plunge continued

Posted by Salt on 5/18/2008
I had been in the see for what I thought was two days, but I got a real sense that time didn’t really work the same or at all in the see, so I really don’t know how long it had been. This part of the see was actually kind of boring. When I finally got the nerve up to dive in head first in to the stream I had been immediately inundated with a barrage of visual information. The ideas appeared out of nothingness kaleidoscoping and melting into one another and then exploding into the raw materials of the next idea. The rate at which this cycle was taking place began to increase as I moved deeper and further through the stream until its intensity was almost too much, blinding me with my eyes closed. Finally I started to feel the borders of the stream widen, faster and faster, wider and wider, until I felt I might lose control, and then poof. The sides of the stream were gone so was my fear and I new that what was before me was the see.

Hi I'm Salt. I love what I do. I am very excited to be a part of this site and thus the "scene." Everyone has been very enthusiastic and welcoming since I posted. Thanks I wasnt sure what you guys,(and gals), would think. I would like to give respect to those who have inspired me and through the work they have developed helped me see what is possible.

I frst saw the work of one Scott Deppe in a California shop in 2001. I was 6 months behind the torch. I was only a few inches away from work that, well you just have to see it.
Two years later I met Scott at a gas confrence in Seatle. He had these Dragon spoons. If you've never seen one then I'm sorry. Scott's work helped me to realize what is possible and that there are no rules, just ideas, and thermodynamics.

This list could go on for a long time. It includes artists from many mediums, I know its lame but I have missspelled some names Im sure, I'll try to fix them asap. Loren Stump, William Morris, Ricky Swallow, Dondi, Milton Townsend, Picaso, Kozic, Robert Mickleson, Jared Delong, Alex Gray, Aesop Rock, Harold W. Cooney, Clinton, Bearclaw, MURS, DJ Shadow, Shepard Farley, Bansky, Sage Frances, Jason Lee, Marcel, and most recently, Smiley, JAG, Mr Gray, Banjo, and Im going to add more latter, right now I need sleep.
