2009

2009 Was a special year for me. Started working glass full time rather than on the side as a dream, but finally a reality starting to take form.

Huge thanks to Salt, Micah Evans, and Matt Eskuche for sharing their knowledge at AGI which made a real impact on my work. The experience was amazing and those three in particular really changed my perspective on glass each in their own individual ways.

Also, I want to give a huge thanks to everyone who competed at the pipe classic where I learned a lot and was able to gather a ton of info and tips from everyone. Respect to you all, thanks for making this community so unreal.

And Eric from NY living in VT, can't thank you enough either.

Circ Perc #1

Circ Perc #1

Made this right after I got home from the Pipe Classic. Huge thanks to M.E. for the inspiration and the info on how to get such a perfect bend. Can't thank you enough man!

It's far from perfect, but I think it's a decent prototype despite area that cracked / got fixed and left the optics goofy.

It's only 11 inches tall though, wish I had a bigger kiln so I could go bigger!

oh yea, this is my first Gong Bub too.

Also a video of it percolating can be seen on youtube. I threw dry ice into it and it basically self perc'd... pretty cool, though i'd share it:

I truly enjoy making these, and hope to make many more in the future.

Heavily inspired by Fluid Motion, Salt, and Contrabasso.

Feel free to check these out at the Bern Gallery in Burlington Vermont.

Amber Purple Bubbler

Amber Purple Bubbler

I made this at the very end of 2008 with a bad seal and put it back together in 2009 to start the new year with some progress. Used northstar's new AP tubing, I love it and can't wait for new colors to come. This stands at 9.5'' being my biggest piece i've made yet.
