2010 - Alien Incubator - Weber/Linh/BenB/N8 CollabPosted by N8 on 4/22/2010If I'm not mistaken, I believe this piece is the pipe debut of Travis Weber and Linh. The two of them make some of the most beautiful marbles I have ever seen. Many of Travis' solid marbles start out as hollow tubing, so we thought it would be a good idea to incorporate some of those same designs onto pipes. Travis not only created the opposing spiral fume sections for this piece, but he and Linh also created a couple of really large marbles for the piece. One was actually too big to put on the piece! We also littered the piece with smaller marbles by Ben B, who also made the Alien Incubator section that makes the second bubbler can, and the one-eye carb worm. He also helped with some of the assembly. My main job was to assemble, but I also snuck in an Intergalactic Space section and pulled the Amazon Night tubing that we used for the piece.
This piece stands about 11" tall, and went together pretty smoothly, other than a few small snags early on. We had a blast making this piece, and I hope to see more hollow work by the Sebastopol Crew in the near future. Images
