I learned to make eyeballs from Master Eyeball maker Walter Hellbach. These are some simple spoons made out of boro practicing the techniques I learned from him a few years ago (using Lauscha glass)...They started out as just something simple to make with some practice eyeballs I had lying around my shop, now I have orders for them like crazy! The eyeballs themselves take me a few hours (unless you add the 4-8 hours of mixing colors for each different shade)

These 2 eyes were made with Amber purple tube as the 'whites' One iris is a mixture of striking colors, the other one is a mixture of blues |

I've been trying to make my neighbors eyes...she has crazy teal eyes but I just cant seem to get the exact color...this is my second attempt... |

The 'white' part is blue moon & the eye is a mixture of blues and striking colors. |

I thought it would be fun to make the "whites" of the eye change color so I fumed the inside with silver & gold...It makes the iris look like its floating...the pipe is A/P tubing with clear swirls |

The colors in the iris are all trans. striking colors and the "white" part is clear & fumed inside so the whole eye will change colors with use. |

This was made as a replacement for a friend with Brown eyes and my first attempt at making brown eyes |

A woman who bought one of my eyeball rings, requested another ring with a dark blue center & white around in her words "as if the clouds has eyes" this is an eye that I made for that ring but it turned out too big so I put it on a pipe that is made from white with clear swirled in to make it look "fluffy" & cloud like |

I've been on the torch since 2001...Taught myself for a year then took classes with lots of amazing artists...I love to travel & colab with everyone who has influenced me over the years...I love the glass family! I have always & will always make pipes and I am damn proud of it! I find most of my inspiration in nature & the world around me every day & everywhere I travel...and of course the faries :)

BrokeAssGlass: Can you explain to me how to make the eye or are there any tutorials on how to - i like the eyes alot andwould like to learn how to make them i have been blowing glass 6 yrs so far =]
