14" tall, 6" base, over 200 pieces.. biggest piece i have made by myself.. thanks to the LGW crew for lettin me come back over to finish this.. my kiln and my delta weren't up to the task.. |
this set has 24 different chips in each piece..almost all the different color combos i have done the last couple years.. each weave was assembled in exactly the same pattern.. in the sherlock i assembled the stem opposing the can, so that from each side of the piece, you dont see any repeating chips..they are also connected at the same chip.. |
42 different patterns.. |

Eric S: sick pieces, love the contrast. i dont have white in round rod atm, and have been trying to do stacks of precision black w/ white frit in between, gives a different effect but usually cracks. oh and i believe the name secret agent x9 is referring to the derogative nickname given to the son of the father of the atomic bomb, frank hoenniker by his classmates due to his sneaking around in the book cats cradle by kurt vonnegut. 11/26/2007 1:02 PM |
4EVER Nate C: i agree man, live n learn, you know I'm gonna leave that funny lookin section on top my kiln next time, i wasnt a 100% sure about it, then did it anyway and it bit a 13-14 hour piece in the ass....i was bitchin about that before I even posted that piece....lol, I'm glad you said somthin though, everyone around my house was like "nahh dude thats bad ass" and I'm just thinkin, HuH? thats not even up to my low ass standards....lol.thanx for bein real....alotta people lose that along the way somewhere...everything is a lesson.

Yea... Getonthepartybus: I understand that the lingo is bogus, however, I thought that the idea was based off of the technique you described...if that's not so then I guess I misinterpreted it. Thank you for taking the time to explain something like this to a total newbie, it's always nice to get feedback from the "big dogs". 12/5/2007 10:53 PM |
