So its 2008 and the 50 state quarters program will be coming to an end this year. I have been waiting years to do this series. I’m proud to be releasing it this week. This series is very limited, only one piece for every state. E PLURIBUS UNUM translates to "all together, one" which we will be this week in Las Vegas.

This piece was made entirely of prep work that came out of my trash box. It started a few months back when me and couple of friends were to hungover to think, so we started welding all kinds of shit together with no rhyme or reason. In the end of it all I've grown to like all that scrap prep work. Thanks for looking enjoy

***Welcome 2008*** The inspiration and motivation behind these pieces is the past. We all have adopted different and innovative styles as years go on. Invent the future and never forget the past.

After all these years of turning glass I finally got the opportunity to use a lathe...so I made a spoon. This was supposed to be the practice run for the real BIG ONE but with no lathe experience I felt like I was getting in over my head. So the giant spoon is going to have to wait for another day.

This piece is made up of 290 spoons. Each spoon is hand numbered so you can refer to a map and locate it in the flag ... on the front of each spoon there is an image of the flag baked on to it (that you can clearly see your spoon in). This was a fun way to make a simple little piece part of something bigger.

For the past six months I'v been working on a new style for myself. I made some crazy reversals that were all new to me, but they all had that same feel. I came up with this piece that has a totaly new feel to it (art deco style). This piece was made with star white frit and black violet frit no color rods. Thats right all frit.

Whats up Kurt
I may not have known it at the time but my most recent post was definitely influenced by your perception of presentation. I've seen your work both in Flow and Las Vegas. The way you display your art can very well define your message. Thanks for the inspiration. Peace. MB
