I just love spoons! These were made at various times in the past few months. I just never got around to putting them up.

Its July 3rd. I hear fireworks outside in the distance. Inside, I have been working on my kind of fireworks...

This is my first attempt at putting dichro inside a piece. I used Dichroic Alchemy's Nebula Tricho. Turns 3 - 4 different colors depending on the angle you look at it from. But the pictures do not do the dichro any justice.

This is my first shot at gold fume. I also used a lot of poppy (orange looking color) by chance and both together give these pieces a very bright deep orange look to them.
On the spoon, every other line of turbo cobalt was laid after the gold fume was put on, this gives you that nice deep greenish color.
The 3rd piece has an outside worked stem and the ghosly trace of an i/o honeycomb on the can. With time and use that honeycomb will come in more and more.

I love the way turbo looks when dotted inside out right over gold fume! I just discovered it. This honeycomb was also done with gold fume, its sure to color in very nicely with adequate use.

Here are this weekend's little treasures. One I/O noseburner, one 'bikini' rake with a twirly in the clear section and one all fume piece.

Here is a new generation of goodies that I am very proud of. You will notice here my first deviation from the standard chickenbone in the form of a rough hammer. This was made with 4 outside raked sections. This was more as practice run for what will come later as I get better at ring seals. But the one thing that i am most exited about is having discovered what green-amber-purple dots and lines look like when used insideout! Up to now I had only used these colors on the outside.

Here I go again jumping into things that are too far ahead for me. ;) But as usual, i could not help myself, i had to try it!
I figured some of you would like to see what happens when a 3.5 month glass rookie tried to pull and work a tube encasement. Not the sharpest looking thing.. but hey im still pretty proud of it.

Its been a good 6 or 7 years since I logged into this account and I am glad its still works.
UPDATE: 8/2/2011 - I moved to Denver, CO and the glass bug has bitten me again. I am looking for a place to work or bench space to rent here in Denver. If you know of any one renting bench space or who wants to go in on a studio from scratch, please email me their info.
Thanks!
Halcyon
