I would like to thank Down Neck For coming up and Throwing down all night. He managed to create one of his large scale signature characters. I was able to contribute by cutting him a facet for the piece. Truly a memorable night. Thank you to every one that came out to support us and the glass community.

During their demo, Erik and Amy were able to create a wild "Train" bubbler with a great shower head diffuser in the can, as well as two matching Dry pipes (One by each) and a matching ash tray. We are truly honored and astonished at what transpires every time we hold one of these events. Just when you think you have seen it all and the bar has been set, the next group of artist come in and totally set it higher! Upcoming Events!

Dear Friends,
After a decade of good friends and cramped quarters; Prism Glassworks is proud to announce the Grand Opening of our new home in downtown Troy. Our 3000 square foot, state of the art facility provides everything the modern lamp worker could need. Prism Glassworks offers clean comfortable settings for the most demanding artist as well as a conducive educational environment for novices. I would like to thank everyone who attended our GRAND opening! Thank you to Mayor Harry Tutunjian for his kind words and blessing with our new shop. Huge thank you to our guest artists, Kurt B. and D-Wreck, whom worked through the night to finalize that gorgeous piece or art. Thank you to the crew here at Prism for your hard work, long nights and continuous love for an amazing art form. Thank you to our friends and family and especially my parents, for without all of your support PGW would not be what it is today. We will continue the tradition of opening up our doors the last Friday of every month to this community. It will be a night where we expand and push the boundaries of both our local and glass community and we look forward to introducing our style and our artwork with the help of continuous guest artist visits. We open up our doors to you as you open up your minds to us and what possibilities we can create…Thank you all! ~Phil

Since we had to leave for Vegas the next morning. We decided to not have a guest artist last month. Instead we had a shop collab instead, for our Troy Night Out open house. Every one made a section and I did the Assembly. And Despite the freak blizzard we still had some die hard's show up. Its amazing what free beer can do.
March's Guests are John Steel Seth Collins 3/25/11 5pm-11pm

Phil Sundling began glassblowing in high school in 1999. He began honing his skills by taking classes with various artist across the nation. In 2001 Phil began Prism Glass Works, a small production and retail outlet. Through the years Prism Glass Works grew to be more then just a business, it was a life style. Armed with a new facility, Phil aims to amplify his skills by inviting a torrent of talent through his doors. He will then channel his knowledge back into the community. To teach, learn and blow glass!
