We stayed up till 10:30 finishing these and working on two other pieces. We had never worked together before except one day in the same shop three years ago.
We had a lot of fun as everything went smoothly.
The idea of moss came up so I decided to finally use the one inch rod of moss I've been sitting on for years.

This is the second piece Seth and I have made together but we didn't get pics of the first one. First piece with a jar atatched for both of us.
This is probably the heaviest piece I've worked on yet. A little bit under two pounds.

Made this one at cowboys house. He gave me some color that didn't have a name, just a number. That's what the main part of the can is. There's also some dragon's eye. The double stuck horns are a new thing for me. My solid techs changed a fair amount after watching sizelove work.

This was fun to make except.....
I royaly screwed up the bowl to downstem connection. So, uhhh, don't look at that. And that cobalt thingy isn't reduced. That's just your imagination.
This piece includes my first triple donut and first 3donut section. The triple works nice as a water block for the stemless action. And the 3donut section I bit from my friend Todd. Not like he was the first or anything, just had to own up like everyone else does.

I wish I got to make stuff like this more often.

just trying out the tech. I'll make em more complex next time.

Went into this without really planning it. I think the penetration looks pretty amature but I'm just happy it made it into the kiln without being ruined. I know lots of stuff I'll set up differently next time.

didn't really think about balancing it. It stands but tips over if you bump it. So tomorrow I'll add a kickstand where my finger is in the pic.

I've been working on making sherlys a shape that I like for almost a year now. For as many as I make I still don't like a lot of them. Overall they look fine but I can find flaws in the shaping in more than one spot usually. This one I'm happy with.
Thanks for looking. color - triple passion, butterscotch

Lavamouth. Blarrrh!!!!
My focus is on shaping and anything out of the ordinary. Anytime I'm making something that looks "standard" I have to find some way to mess with it. Cupcake once told me, "so with you, it's always 'playtime with Deb Carlson' isn't it?" Yes Adam, it is.
I've been working on my fume marbles a lot lately. The honeycomb on the butterscotch sherly is my best yet. The fume's almost coming out of the glass =)
Thanks for looking. (blurry pictures and dust by zlao)

trying to make something weird. I figured I should put a carb on it because of the size and shaping. the green and red section came off of a tube pull that I bought from David Hasslehoff last year.

eh, I'm posting frit pieces again. At least it's not a spoon!!!
The marble was made using 44 x 1.6 tubing.

just trying out the green tube. And a few other guick pieces on feet. I made the amber/green tube goblet but Dave from Steamboat made the blue one.

This is proabably the fourth or fifth one of these I've made. Fun but time consuming.

I use 44 x 1.6 tubing to make the honeycomb sections. Milli done by the ring of fire guys. I wish I could take better pics of it but my camera sucks. Middle section is blue velvet tubing.

This piece was started about two years ago. The can is two years old. I made it after I met my buddy Tod. Before I met him I didn't know that you could split stuff up into small sections. When I met him I was a self-taught blower that could barely make an outside spoon. You can see that my terminations are all sloppy along with other flaws. The can was made on my baby cc.
Well, the other day I was looking through a rifle case full of unfinished work, picked it out, threw a quick stem together and called it done.

wasn't planning this one at all!!! I made the four sections starting from the mouthpiece at the end of a long day just to play around. Then realized the next day that I'd comitted to a large piece. Oh well.
I'd never made a foot that big before. Holy crap feet throw a lot of heat back at your hand when you spin them out.
I was a little concerned that it wouldn't bubble very well so I threw some water in it to test. Gurgles great.

Having some fun again. Elvis, silver strike 5, and onyx.

I like doing stuff like this. Each section is the amount of glass that would have been pulled out into a bat. But instead, just shape em and smack em together. Quick and unique.

man these are fun

Made the can out of 4.5 inches of 58 standard.
The section on the end of the stem has a "suck-in". I used to do closed pushes with graphite but I like the sucked in look. feels nice, like a worrystone.

Been lovin the fume lately.
(and taking pictures with fingerprints on the glass apparently. oops)

This is the biggest piece I've ever made. Also, the first piece in probably a year or so where I knew ahead of time that I was going into unfamiliar territory instead of stumbling into it accidentaly.
I was inspired to put the 8 little atachments on by some work that Hops is doing.
