The Green Man

Found in many cultures around the world, the Green Man is often related to natural vegetative deities springing up in different cultures throughout the ages. Primarily it is interpreted as a symbol of rebirth, or "renaissance," representing the cycle of growth each spring. This has been a piece that has been coming in and out of my Subconscious that i had to complete..and its far from it..hope to have it finished soon. I plan to dive into this much more.. Also thanks to Clinton for continued inspiration...dragons eye and adventurine. Thanks for looking and hope you all have a prosperous new year!! keep pushing it guys!

Ghetto Blaster

Good bye old friend. Inspired by the end of an analog era... After trying to replace my acid encrusted battery terminals in my favorite ghetto blaster for the second time I realized it was time to put the old beast down, so I photographed it. Then while playing in photoshop, well the rest is pretty explanatory.

Winter Inferno

Glassblower Seath came into RVA (Richmond, VA) from Minnesota at the beginning of December. His arrival coincided with our first taste of Winter weather here in the Commonwealth this season. Both were received with warmth and excitement. This is our first collab off of my newly acquired lathe. AKM on the lathe for this project while Seath and I made elements, and accessories for the tube from our benches. Stands at just over 18". Tube + essential tube accessories. Photography by Jamie Zill Thank you for looking.

Fantasy Peacock Natural Bub

September 2010 This hefty black & blue bub is one of my peacock/fantasy series. It has 2 hand made diffuser plates inside the bubbler can, and is a natural peculating bubbler with no down stem. I've been so into making glass feathers of all kinds, this creativity is still spilling over with inspiration from the summer. This was the first heady made in my new aspen meadows shop. Thank you as always for looking

THE SIREN by ~K.SASSxBLITZKRIEGA~

KSASSxBLITZKRIEGA COLLAB: 2010, STAND BY JOHAN STEER!, hither steer your winged pines, All beaten mariners! Here lie Love's undiscover'd mines, A prey to passengers-- Perfumes far sweeter than the best Which make the Phoenix' urn and nest. Fear not your ships, Nor any to oppose you save our lips; But come on shore, Where no joy dies till Love hath gotten more. For swelling waves our panting breasts, Where never storms arise, Exchange, and be awhile our guests: For stars gaze on our eyes. The compass Love shall hourly sing, And as he goes about the ring, We will not miss To tell each point he nameth with a kiss. --Then come on shore, Where no joy dies till Love hath gotten more.
