Opal Bridge Sidecar Bub

This piece was another milestone for me. My first multi-attachments piece. I never tried bridging anything before, so here I trapped an opal marble between the two horns. This piece in particular I pushed my skills to the limit at the time, and it was very memorable to me. I remember shaking while putting the last few touches on it, usually a sign that you are really stressing on making a piece come out nicely, or you're up way too late, or both...lol.

First time using the new Poppy and Goldenrod by Northstar. I really liked both of them alot, workability-wise as well as the brightness of the final output. I call this color combo BOLDENROD!

this was a good experiment with a new (to me) tubing technique and using portland gray for the second time (thanks to Max @ GA you are a genious dog). it took a while to do becasue the solid orange tubing sections cool a lot faster than other glass..yet another piece that had more kiln time than flame time. 10 hours. good beats. 16 sections. back to slaving at the torch.....

26 section side car bub, 4 disc sections, lots of plum (I can't seem to get enough of this color), perc down-stem, triple seal, galaxy, horns, dicho cane. the usual. it was thought out, organized, and flowed very smoothly. the horns turned out really good. not the best pictures but you get the drift.

This piece was made for my good friend LH. The can is five tribal reversals, the "peanut" style neck section is cut-n-flipped surface rake, my first time to try this fun tech. Colors: Purp Luster/Multi/maybe some Dk Multi too.

Trying to keep up with all the wonderful artist on this sight has been very hard. just now been blowing for one year and until now have been mostley doing custom steamrollers. but now i wanted to expand and make a "major" piece, if you will. so here it is, please i mostly teach myself, execpt for the occasional magazine, and i could use more input as help.

Getting back into the swing.This is my second piece on my Phantom and my best yet.Blue spruce,Orange crayon,Agua azul,Raven,And what was supposed to be Acid yel.,but it thins out more than older batches Ive used.First color honey-comb turned out O.K. Always seems they look cooler hot,but doesnt it all.Blacklight crystal(Electric flamingo)and a blinger-backed opal are firsts for me too. T.F.L.
