(DEW)
well i got an order for a nice chillum, and this is what i came up with. the colors are jade, hyacinth and blue spruce. i put my first twisted donut in the center which has some gold/silver fume in it. i also had a small dichro marble laying around that wanted to be used, so i put it on this piece because the colors matched. enjoy...

So it is almost October already? yea that came up on me fast... especially since i don't have much to show for it with my glass. I made a whole lot of bats and took some pictures of the ones that weren't too ridiculously goofy.
The two to the right of the lighter i made last night and came out great too compared to all the previous pieces too...

October 2007

(DavidMakalaster)
So October has been a pretty good month for me. I have finally taken the time to get familiar with the proper flame for fuming gold; and now it doesn't take me 10 minutes to get the gold to stick but takes about 10 seconds. Also I have switched from 25x4 to 50x1.8 for my bats.... Best change I've made in a while for my working habits and I can thank firekist from the GLDG for that. I have also been working with dichro a bit as well with out any worries. Although I have done more beads as well, I am going to make a GA.org account rather than keep posting them here (aside from my dichro bead).
p.s. mt.katahdin in maine is an amazing area, go there if you have yet to.

Turtle Chillum

Turtle Chillum

(Rye)
Me and my girlfriend have been burning our fingerprints off for a little over 3 weeks. This turtle was inspired by one I saw smiley do on his ocean thang.
Jar and Ph set

Jar and Ph set

(AlexK)
7 piece jar and pinchie set I didn't get the pic of the matching sherlock. Jet black covered with disco with flames. note the inside is black, hard to get the best pics of the disco sparkle.
Pinky Purple Von Pinkerson

Pinky Purple Von Pinkerson

(AlexK)
This is a set of a pink and purple inspiration. So many people have asked for new pink and purple color combos, I had to try. Threw in a layer of dichro to make it pop. Bad pics but working on that. A bit of prep work for the amount of pieces that came out of it.Let me know what you think???

(No Longer Available) Quality I/O Bats/Onies. Thick, durable, and full of colors and cane that pop! 3-4" and properly annealed, unlike similar cheap imported knock-off crap. (No Longer Available)

trying to make something weird. I figured I should put a carb on it because of the size and shaping. the green and red section came off of a tube pull that I bought from David Hasslehoff last year.

Here are the little chillums i have made I need to work on cooking in the color but its coming to me as i go on. i started making them bigger but they cracked andi had to make em smaller and after a while the people who bouhgt the ones not pictured asked for them this small so i have dubed these mini chillums "pinchies".

Copper Electroformed Chillum, May '06

(TooHypeProductions)
this is my first ever electroformed piece, a double amber purple chillum with 2 moldavite chunks and some millenium moss spears. the copper was treated to get the koolaid blue funk going on. this wouldn't have been possible without natedizz- -you're the man, thanks for keeping it real at all times-

(Slutty)
This is my war club. Made of skyline hyacinth, periwinkle, sunset orange and sunrise yellow. the yellow is coiled unencased and ever so buttery. First time stacking r ballz i think. made this on a visit to Jp's before i moved. Oh yeh and my kiln was stolen out o Rochester this weekend too thoes fucks.
Chillum

Chillum

(E.Ross)
This was another custom piece i tried to replicate for a friend. He knows more about the history of it than i do. I guess this is the style of chillum monks would use. This style has a stone inserted into a hollow tube that works as a screen. I faceted a piece of glass on 8 sides for my stone. The original ceramic chillum has a 6 sided stone. Having the 6-8 holes ensures a nice draw while smoking. This design is really nice for cleaning. The stone comes out, and you can run tons of water through it. The monks would run a piece of cloth attached to their robe with a knot through it.

I spent a lot of time trying to make the walls of this chillum very thick. It would have been 4 times larger if i would have went with my normal wall thickness.

Thanks for looking!!
