~California Maple Leaf~

(Smiley)
The California Maple is a shrub that thrives well in the sunny climates of California....Here is my artistic interperatation of a leaf from this fun loving little tree.......

The Disco Purps color is all from the hand pulled pound i mentioned previously...used almost all of it too....!

This sucker is about 2 pounds -11" tall...
Pix are a little sketchy here and there...used the flash alot to bring out the sparkle.

The leaves are tacked down on every individual leaf & stem + one main one in the back.

~Thanks for looking.

The Cephalopod

(Hippo)
Well I m not sure of the species but this thing crawled out of my brain and into existince last week. I ve been playing with shaping and function using ring (or triple) seals for the bowl.

The piece is dark multi, multi and silver fume.

Last week was a trying one. Felt like I was fighting the current, unforeseen bills, figured it would be fun to pass 3 fingers thru the flame, the main can cracking and had to be remade, traffic jams, and some other stuff of course! But hey who cares as long as your having fun on the torch!! Oh and I had to put up a skate pic cause of fun pics I saw last week.

Frit organic-cruiser

(Hippo)
This piece was fun to make. Its another ring seal bub made with frit. I was in a weird mood so I made the reversal sections and honeycomb marble with frit as well. The canes are the only parts that have amber purple color rods used and it has a great feel and weight in the hand..

I like the form of this bub it looks like some sort of alien cruiser or something!

Kiss the Dragon by Clinton

(Freedom35Minneapolis)
This bad ass Dragon was made by none other than the living legend Clinton. Stands 14 inches tall. The dragon is a double layer red dichro rollup with turbo cobalt background and sandblasted scales. The claws and horns are dark plum. The appendages are sandblasted alchemy orange and red. The stand and the egg are yellow colorsilicate. The egg is sandblasted with the Chinese symbol for dragon. The piece is a vacuum bubbler. Time to produce this piece is 3 weeks

self penetrating natural. 2nd of a series, and the second piece ever, that i almost didn't push a bowl in.. the first is rather large, and not quite complete. if i had the time and financial freedom, perhaps i would have set the push aside. plunging my self into some sculpture, and loving it.. hope you like. thanks for looking./////

This is a piece inspired by natural crystal growth and a great friend who passed away recently.who this piece is also dedicated to.. his name was sage and he was a huge collector of many of this industries finest artists.. ive seen some crazy glass from some of the begginings of some great artists that this guy owned.. This is a bern glass collaboration between Jason "live free" Gordon and J-Fletch...Big thanx to Kris Gardner for the great photos... thank you for looking. peace live free

well it took us alot longer then we expected but i think it came out sick as hell it is the biggest piece ive made so far it stands at 18 inches tall , we pretty much did equal amounts of work to it and we both had our share of mistakes!, we used disco over black violet, hyacinth, orange and yellow crayon.
Dia de los Muertos * Featured Page *

Dia de los Muertos

(Hippo)
I was in Mexico for the day of the dead in 2001 and saw some really cool altars and art.
It is a celebration with emphasis on celebrating and honoring the lives of the deceased, and celebrating the continuation of life; the belief is not that death is the end, but rather the beginning of a new stage in life. On the altar you place the persons favorite foods, drinks and other vices for them to enjoy.

This piece is a collaboration by myself and Bryan aka Surf Rat. I also got my friend Bonnie to draw the skulls and flowers.

Thanks to Kris Gardener for the photos.

Been trying to break away from the disc style, as far as mouth pieces go...(trying to maybe get my own signature style) i guess...This one i almost want to keep.

Oasis

(MichaelMoney)
This piece stands 27" tall with a 12 x 12" base. The vessel detaches from the blasted root system. Most of the vines are hollow, and she holds water quite nicely. I really enjoyed the creation of this piece.

Thank you Clinton for the generous use of your facilities (my kiln wasn't big enough) and inspiration - What up Summit Collective!

This piece was finished in November 06 thank you for looking. Come on back now, Ya hear?
