2006 Vessel Workshop in Olympia, WA

Here is a vessel workshop I taught in 2006 in Olympia Washington. I basically started making a vase, and ended up making a bubbler (by request) from start to finish as the demo. Here are some pics of the 2005 AGI in PA. If you've never attended, you are missing out! It's one of the funnest weeks I have all year. I missed out in 2006 and it's one of my biggest regrets.
2006 Eugene Flame-Off

The flame-off this year was the same weekend as AGI, antoher event I usually attend. But since AGI costs so much, asn Eugene was so close, I decided to see what this even twas all about. It was loads of fun, and basically like 2 days at AGI. I even took 2nd behind Sabina in the marble category! In 2007, the events will be on different weekends, so hopefully I can attend both.

these are some picks fron out west a few years back i just found them so i thought id share when i went to sndgrass for a weekend (2001). it was a blast. but it was cold like 10 or blow the whole time and we was in the shop from 8 am until like 6or 7 at night. awsom time thow .thanks bob

hey this is me and my torch. im 17 years old and have been round hot glass since '04 when I decided to take the glass class at school. Glass has become a huge part of my life. I try to go to all the glasss shows I can, and learn as much as I can from artists. Its been hard/expensive to get started but allredy its paying off. My new years Goal is to be in the BABE (bay area bead extravoganza) by November 06. if you live in the bay, look out for me. glass has really taught me that practice makes perfect. if you have any hints/tips/sugest... please feel free to leave a post.

Class held at Blue Devil/Glass Reef studio Feb 18, 2006. Excellent class with loads of information and assistance. Plenty was learned durring Nate's informative lesson. Vessel assembled into a nice sidecar bubbler by student request.

this is a new fro bubbler I picked up, Im a big glass fan so much Im gonna start taking pics of my glass collection, the can is about 6 1/2", overall 9" , the stem is diffused an has all the other great fro features. this is my current favot.

This is a AKM peice I picked up in 04' at bonnaroo, can is about 7 inches tall, lots of dychro all over, its been broken a few times in moves but now its retired an super glued in a case havent used it in over a year , I did my best tyin to clean it before pics then gave up, old grime. I call it my green monster bubbler w/ bling ... hehe
