Hi I'm Mako, I have been melting glass full time since 1997 and consider my self thoroughly addicted to the art form. I love glass because it is limitless and one can spend a lifetime learning the skills and there is always more to master. Glass is an all consuming aspect of my life(as any glass artist can tell you) and I never plan on retiring from the craft. Sealife is a huge part of my art. The natural form of Aquatic life lends it's self to the contours of glass. I hope you enjoy my gallery and thanks for your interest in my work. Mako

TheSmokeMonster: Really would love to get in contact with you to get some stuff directly. I just broke my blue goat's eye sea monster slide and I'm sooo bummed right now.

If anything though, keep making your sick art! I'm keeping the broken piece since only the ground glass part broke and I'm going to get a stand for it.

I loved this piece a lot and am just so upset it broke from carelessness.

Smilodon-Fatalis: Hey man. Props to your work first of all. So I bought one of your sea monster bowls from mellow mood in Portland a while ago. I snapped off the male adaptor part in the downstem of my water pipe. I was wondering if you can do repairs. Thanks.

User12845: Hello, I know you must have people bothering you all the time, but I love your work it's exquisite. Which leads me to the inevitable question would it be possible for me to buy one of your pieces of work?

Although disregarding my random request, you have such a gift I wish I could create something as fanciful and realistic as one of your pieces I like how they meld creativity with captivation of aquatic sea creatures, well done.

  • Dendroid
Dendroid: Hey Mako, I've been fixated on one of the slides in this gallery pic from one of your retailers, it'd seem they've already sold it though.
It's an 18mm sand coloured creature slide with tentacles, the image in question shows up early in image search results for mako 18mm slides and it's the farthest right of a heap you'd made for that retailer. Is there any chance you could make up another slide along those lines? I'm having no luck hunting one like that down from the ones you've already sent out into the world.
